I came across this cream in Space NK. I was having problems with my skin I was desperate for something that would give me some coverage and maybe help my skins issues at the same time. I don't normally trust a product that promises so much but I thought I would give it a try and I am so pleased I did, as I've found a beauty bag staple.
Firstly, what is a BB Cream? From my understanding, BB stands for 'beauty' or 'blemish balm'. Fancy name aside they are really just very light foundations with inbuilt skincare and SPF, beauty hybrids; part makeup, part skincare!
This BB Creme is a thing of beauty.
It is jam packed with amazing herbs all of which help to stimulate the skin
Ginseng - helps to stimulate the skin whilst invigorating and energising
Licorice - this herbs helps to reduce the production of melanin (which causes pigmentation marks)
Ginger - invigorates and stimulates whilst revitalising the skin
It gives a velvety, non-oily finish. The formulation is incredibly light, it evens out the skin tone, but don't expect heavy coverage. The result is a gorgeous natural 'no make up' look.
I use it in two ways. If I am having a good day, skin wise, it is all that I will use for my base, maybe with a touch of concealer. If I am having a bad skin day and want a heavier coverage I will use it under my foundation, to create a layer that protects my skin. I find using it this way helps to prevent any breakouts, whilst also healing any problems that you are trying so hard to cover up!
You can use it in place of your moisturiser or on top of. I tend to put it on after my day moisturiser, just out of personal preference really. The tube seems to lasts forever - even when using it everyday.
Just as an added bonus it has SPF 25 so no need for any other suncreams! Which is a plus for those of us with sensitive skin who find using other facial suncreams difficult. I found it was the only thing I needed when on holiday. Being in the sun all day but not wanting to wear any makeup, this was so easy to use. It evened our my skin whilst being feather light (makes for a lighter makeup bag -win win all round)
